As Christians we know that we fight a battle that is not of this world (Ephesians 6:12-13). I love that Jesus showed us that by using scripture we can win against satan (Matthew 41-11 - "It is written...").
I also know that memorizing scripture can be difficult, but I know that supporting one another and encouraging each other is a humongous help in being successful. Together let's grow in memorizing scripture and always be battle-ready.
Why Memorize Scripture?
God tells us to memorize scripture.
Colossians 3:16 "let the word of Christ dwell in you richly", Deuteronomy 6:4-9 "these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children...", and many more.
Jesus quoted scripture.
It is estimated that Jesus quoted old testament scripture 180 times. Jesus used scripture when He was tempted by Satan. Matthew 4:1-11 and Luke 4:2-14
It brings us blessings and makes us wise.
God blesses those who memorize and obey His Word. Memorizing helps us to obey God and gives us wisdom as we go through our lives. Psalm 1:2-3, Joshua 1:8, Psalm 119:9 & 11, 2 Timothy 3:15, Matthew 7:24
God uses His words in the scripture to heal and comfort us.
Many times we say we wish we could hear God talk to us. In reality he does talk to us through His Word, the Bible. Memorizing and reading God's word is healing to our soul. Psalm 119:92, Psalm 107:20, Matthew 11:28-30

This journal is designed to help you track your progress, write down reflections, and truly immerse yourself in God's word. It will be in PDF format so you can easily access and print it through Adobe Reader.

Who doesn't love a good surprise? Throughout the program, we'll announce fun and engaging activities periodically. These could range from coloring books, puzzles, quizzes, games, contests, and more. These activities are designed to keep you engaged, motivated, and encouraged on your scripture memory journey.
